Stilolinea was born in the 1970s in the ballpoint pen industrial district, located between Settimo and San Mauro in the Province of Turin. The founder, Piero Chicco, aiming to differentiate himself from other manufacturers, saw in promotional pens a merchandising tool which, at the time, were unknown but very promising. He designed engaging, innovative products in a wide range of colours. They were versatile and could be personalised according to customers’ promotional and marketing needs.
The company made a leap forward in terms of quality with the purchase of technologically advanced machines and automated assembly lines: as a result, hand-crafting experience and technical innovation became the secrets to the company’s success. All Stilolinea machines have been tailor made: this allows us to manufacture well-finished and reliable pens, whilst reducing material waste and considering the impact on the environment.
Over the past 40 years, Stilolinea’s history has been written using models which have changed in design and technology, up to the barrel-body pen rather than the multi-side pen. The printing process has gone from using hot working to silk-screen printing and pad printing, resulting in image definition which is markedly more faithful to the logo or writing reproduced. By choosing to offer high quality promotional pens, which are appreciated as free gifts not just for their longevity, Stilolinea further increased its success, up to the landmark of producing around 100 million items per year.
